If those S.U. carburetors look like more than you want to tackle, leave the job to the experts in our restoration shop. We rebuild carburetors to either “concours” or “street” specifications. Street carbs don’t receive as much cosmetic detailing, but are treated to the same comprehensive mechanical restoration as concours carburetors. Each carburetor is disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, inspected and reassembled with top-quality gaskets, seals, needle, seat and main jet. We also replace the throttle shafts and discs. That’s the easy part. What sets our rebuilds apart is the details, like milling mating surfaces absolutely flat and replacing missing hardware. We have an extensive stock of genuine S.U. hardware, both new and used, so a missing part won’t likely be a problem. Carburetors are adjusted and ready to run with minimal adjustment. Concours rebuilds receive plated hardware and mirror-polished dashpots. We can also modify and configure carburetors for vintage racing. Pricing varies with condition and completeness and is per carburetor. Because of the many variations, rebuilt carburetors are not stocked; we will rebuild and return your specific carburetors.
