Bleeding the rear brakes on cars with Independent Rear Suspension (E-Types, 3.4S/3.8S, 420, MK X, Series I, II and III XJ-6 and XJ-12 and all XJ-S with inboard brakes) can be a real pain as access is limited. These high-quality braided stainless lines made in the USA exclusively for XKs Unlimited neatly solve the problem with an easily accessed remote bleeder. The lines simply thread into the bleeder ports and an anchor bracket attaches to the IRS cage. Pain reliever! Sold per pair. Note that our version of these hoses employs Speed Bleeder Bleed Nipples. Here's how they're used: Unscrew the Speed Bleeder 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Here comes the magical part: Slowly pump the brake pedal 4-5 times. (You do not have to close the bleeder screw between pumps.) A one-way check valve lets the air and fluid out when the pedal is pressed but closes between pumps. This prevents air from entering the system between pumps. After bubble-free fluid comes out of the Speed Bleeder screw, close the Speed Bleeder until it seats. Proceed to the next wheel cylinder or caliper until all are bled.
